Dragon Theater Puppets is celebrating 30 years of quality entertainment! They create all original stories and puppets, performing all across the U.S. for libraries, schools, parties, and festivals. Dragon Theater combines morals and character driven stories that amaze families of all ages.

Jason Ropp is a puppeteer‑explorer whose work feels like it’s been gathered from a lifetime of wandering through imaginative landscapes. Known for his expressive characters and finely tuned performance style, Jason approaches puppetry as a living conversation — one where every gesture, breath, and moment reveals something new. His puppets carry a sense of discovery in their movements, as though they’re learning the world at the same time the audience is. With roots in traditional craft and branches reaching into experimental performance, Jason’s artistry invites viewers to step into stories that unfold like hidden trails. Whether he’s performing, teaching, or devising new characters, Jason brings a spirit of curiosity that turns every stage into an expedition.He creates all the puppets, sets props and scripts. He has also worked with many other companies including Tears of Joy Theatre, Puppetcore, Old World Puppet Theatre and the Portland Puppet Museum. Teaching puppetry to many new puppeteers and kids over the years. Jason has also performed and built puppets and performed for many TV commercials, film projects and other media through his career.


The Super Silly Circus

The Ringmaster tries to have the greatest circus on
the earth. But everything goes wrong, the elephants keep falling over, the lion is on the loose and the clowns run amuck. But the show must go on. They must find a way to renew and repeat the acts correctly. In the end they will find out how to recycle and save the circus.
