The Puppet Collective
Round 2
The Puppet Collective is a two day event to share the history of Puppetry. Puppetry has a rich history not only around the world but in Everett Washington. We will spend time learning about how long puppetry has been around as well as how to manipulate the many styles of puppetry that are out there, from marionettes to rod puppets and beyond. There will be performances from various artists and workshops where you can make your own puppet to take home.
Festival will be on location at the Van Valey House

Featuring
This two day event will feature: Shadow Streak Productions, the Portland Puppet Museum, Dragon Theater, Parsley and Pals, Rob D'Arc, and Snehpets Studio.
Puppet Workshops
On the first day of the event we will make some sock puppets, with Shadow Streak productions. There will be many colors of socks to choose from as well as many different supplies for you to bring your vision to life. The second day will be a Pop-Up Puppet, with Rob D'Arc. You will have all the supplies you need to give this puppet the a unique character of your imagination.


Manipulation
Ever wondered how they did that? Is it hard to work a puppet? This will be the perfect opportunity to learn how to manipulate a puppet. Come and try it out with us.
